You know the difference between humans and machines? Humans get to blame machines for their own mistakes. Stupid machines! Last night my sister was going to go swing dancing after work. And being my ride home, I was either going to have to go with her and just sit at a table and have a few beers maybe, for hours and hours, or she'd drop me at our aunt and uncle's place where I'd watch TV. I had of course set the VCR that morning to tape a bunch of stuff. Some of her shows, some of my shows. But we ended up coming home instead of going out, cuz she was feeling ill. So I got to watch Wonderfalls while her shows were taping. After that I shut off the TV, though this new D.A. show was recording (which I wanna see cuz it's only 4 episodes, plus Sarah Paulson's in it, who was in American Gothic). Touching Evil was on, but I had the VCR set to tape the rerun at like midnight. I get up this morning and find Touching Evil didn't get recorded. Why? Because apparently instead of setting the VCR to tape ABC from 9 to 11pm, it was set for 9pm to 11am. I blame this mistake, obviously, on the VCR. (Hey, the Buggles said I could, and the PUSA seconded it. So it's not just me ranting all by myself, here. Don't worry, I'll do enough of my own ranting with no precedents to cite.) Ah well. It'll rerun again Sunday night, Monday morning, midnight. Hopefully I'll tape it then.
