So putting up stock at work yesterday I noticed my store still had a few bottles of French's sweet onion mustard, which has always been my favorite. Unfortunately, it's recently been replaced by Sweet & Zesty mustard, which I think is okay (though my sister doesn't like it at all), but it's not nearly as good as Sweet Onion. The weird thing is that the UPC code is the same. Other companies sometimes change the code if they change the product even a little bit, even temporarily. Sometimes they change the code for no apparent reason at all, other than to confuse the stock clerks who are trying to match the product's code to the code on the shelf tags. Essentially, by not changing the code, French's seems to be saying it's the same damn product, but with a new name. (And believe me, most companies would find a new name more than excuse enough to change the code.) But if you read the ingredients, you'll find a few minor, but important differences. Whatever. Sis bought a few bottles of the stuff. But it won't last forever.
Also she took the computer to the ISP today, and they said it has a virus which would take a couple hundred dollars to fix. Which we can't afford. So until we can afford a new computer, maybe in a bit over a month or so, I can only get online at the library on my days off. I dunno if I said that before, but this is confirmation, anyway. I won't be online much for awhile. But I'm off today and the next two days as well. Dunno about next week, I'm supposed to work 40 hours, which means only 2 days off... and if Sunday turns out to be one of them, I won't be able to go to the library then, so that'd mean only 1 day online next week. Which almost makes me envy Iraqi prisoners. At least the world is outraged over their plight, but who cares about my torture? One day a week online, for maybe an hour? I ask you!
