What I hate about this hot weather is that at night I must constantly vacillate between turning the fan on and off. Turn it on, and after a little while I'm too cold, so I turn it off. Then after a little while I'm sweatin' like a sonuvabitch. Well, mostly my head is, which is odd, because that's the part of me that's not under covers. But whatever. It all makes for not getting the greatest night's sleep.

But of course the sweating is much worse if, say, I'm outside pulling weeds again at my aunt's house. Which I have been today. And I should do a bit more. I had to come here once again on my day off, because I had an appointment to be fitted for custom arch supports. That just took a few minutes, but my sister has to work, so I had to be here, relatively close to the place of my appointment. Which leaves me with little to do with the rest of my day but work. Though not so much that I haven't time to take care of my internet rounds.

Anyway, I had to put my feet in these sort of salmon-colored squishy things to take casts of my feet, which the doctor will send away to get the arch supports made for me, which should be here within a couple weeks. The squishy stuff was just like this sort of green squishy stuff which I've always enjoyed, you know, squishing. You know the green squishy stuff, don't you? I think it's usually used for sticking fake flowers in, or something. I love that stuff.

Later tonight, when my sister gets off work, we're supposed to go look at another apartment we may move to, and also go to some barbecue. Also I want to say I'm happy because I'm caught up on my tapes for now. And soon my regular shows will mostly be over for the summer. Sad but also a relief. And speaking of relief, I uh... gotta go take care of something....
