My friends, I am sitting in my apartment as I type this. But let me tell you about the rest of my day. Um... I had a bowl of Alpha Bits, which i bought yesterday. Last night I got a Flash JL card out of it, so now I'm just missing Hawkgirl and Green Lantern. What else? My sister and I both had the day off today. So we did stuff. We went to the library, where my sister looked for her friend's address in an email, so we could go pick up an old computer he was giving us. But when we got there, no one was home. Also we looked at a couple of garage sales. One had a few useful things I considered getting, but didn't. The other had a Flounder plush which I picked up and thought about getting, but my sister ended up getting it. And we went to Applebee's for lunch. And we got my paycheck and deposited most of it. And um, we went to our relatives' house and finally got arouned to staining the deck. And we went to Aurora Outlets. I bought a clock there, at What on Earth, a clock I've been meaning to get for quite awhile now. regular price on the thing is about $48, which I'd never pay, but last time I was there, probably last year, there was an 80% off sale on everything. I didn't get it then. Today everything's 60% off, it's a going out of busines sale, so it'll probably go on until... the store closes in September. it's a shame it's closing, i like the store. Well anyway, I got the clock today for $20. I'm so happy. I looked for it online just now, couldn't find it at the What on Earth website, but I did find it elsewhere, if you wanna see what it looks like.
At Harry and David, I got an egg cream. Had the same brand before from Walmart, back in Maine, never seen it anywhere else, including any other walmarts. What else? Had leftovers for supper tonight. Yesterday grilled chicken on my hibachi and made bean stew, except my sister had me make it without hamburg. It was still good. Oh, and I didn't find any campbells beans in tomato sauce, so I substituted Tops brand homestyle baked beans. Anyway, those were the leftovers we had tonight.
I'm boring you right to death, ain't I? We wuz thinking of going to the movies today, but we didn't get around to it. Some other time, I suppose. We did check out a new dollar store, but I didn't really see anything interesting there. It was right near walmart, where I bought razor cartridges, anti-perspirant, and a new shirt. Red, with tikis on it. Pretty cool, eh? I got basic mach 3 cartridges, hopefully they should work fine with my m3power razor. I don't think it's really better than other razors i've had, it's just gimmicky, and when the battery dies I dunno if I'll ever bother replacing it, just keep using the thing without the gimmick. But I like it anyway cuz it's green and because m3power sounds so close to mp3, and ya knows i likes the mp3s! even though I have none right now. Maybe I'll try to get some on this new computer.
Yes, after coming home i was watching last night's Case Closed, and near the end Beth's friend Gordon called, and we rushed over to his place to pick up the computer. The specs on this thing are all well better than on our old computer, even if it is somewhat old itself... but it still seems slower than our old computer, probably cuz it's running Windows XP. But anyway, I was finally able to check my email after a few weeks without it, stupid library not accessing excite.com. whazzup wit dat? Anyway... And now I'm updating here. Sis set up the net through MSN, probably just temporarily till we get something else, but it was too late tonight to call any ISP, which we probably won't be able to do till Monday at the earliest. I'm not digging this msn browser, but I am digging being online at home, even if it ain't the fastest... it sure aint the slowest I've done, either. (Oh, when we went to get it it was almost 7pm, so I missed Phil of the Future, but I'm sure I'll catch it some other time.)
Oh yes, what I did at the library this morning, I forgot to mention. I was looking up Japanese cellphones and added the word keitai and denwa to my lexicon: stuff page on Otakuphrenia. I'd seen something on tv one day about the culture of cellphones in Japan. they used a word for it I couldn't remember. I can't even remember what channel I saw this on or when, but it was a very short piece, maybe on family channel or disney or something, I dunno. I'm hoping Keitai was the word they used, but in any event, I named myself that in my new game of Pokemon Silver I started yesterday. I called myself Celfone at first, then changed it to keitai today. My plan is to collect pokemon which I have to wait for phone calls about...
Okay, I think that's about all I had to say for now. Surely there are other things to say about the days since my last update, like watching Biography of Catwoman on A&E, or getting a dvd of Tenchi Muyo in Love (very misleading title, btw)... but anyway, I won't bore you. Plus Monk is coming on soon. So g'bye, and expect to see more of me soon. Probably....
